The renewed ISO certification of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) of SoftProject GmbH took place on February 02, 2022. The recertification audit, which lasted several days, in accordance with the international standard ISO IEC 27001, certifies that the specialist for digital and automated business processes has secure data transmission, processing, and storage. TÜV AUSTRIA Deutschland GmbH audited the hosting services, the internal servers and networks as well as the operation of customer systems. All requirements and specifications were met without exception. The certification body praised the continuous further development of the ISMS. As an example, it cited an exemplary implemented internal education and awareness campaign on phishing emails with a training video and interactive quiz for all employees.
Customer data in safe hands
Already since 2019, SoftProject GmbH has voluntarily committed to being monitored by regular, independent audits. “This way, our customers can be sure that the high standards and measures of the ISO standard will be maintained in the long term,” says Dieter Göbelbecker, Information Security Officer at SoftProject GmbH. “Audits offer us a good opportunity to make the careful and professional handling of data and systems visible to the outside world and to communicate it.” The quality and security of the IT systems and business processes that the software company provides to its data center customers are top priorities for the digitization expert and provider of the low-code platform X4 BPMS (Business Process Management Software).
Standard focuses on confidentiality, integrity and availability of information as protection goals
In the ISO IEC 27001 standard, the International Standards Organization (ISO) describes how companies avoid IT risks and ensure holistic data protection and information security by setting up, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving their ISMS in accordance with guidelines drawn up by experts. The next surveillance audit at SoftProject GmbH, which has specialized in process digitization and automation with the X4 BPMS process management software for over 20 years, is scheduled for March 2023.
